If you want to choose another installation folder or change the platform you have, click “Change Options”. In case you are fine with the defaults, then click on “Install” to start downloading Ember and the installation process after the download completed.
After the installation is done, you can start Ember by running the executable from the installation folder or for easier access we suggestion you to a create shurtcut pointing to it.
That’s it, you are ready to run Ember for the first time.
Upgrading¶
If you keep the default setting in Ember to notify you if a new version of Ember is available, then you will receive a notification window about that on Ember startup with an option to run the upgrade process. In that case EmberSetup will only download the new and/ or updated files.
In case you disabled the update notification in the settings, you have to run EmberSetup manually to do the upgrade. You will also have to tell EmberSetup where your Ember installation located, or let it try to find itself. You can do this via the "Change Options" window:
After you are done, click on "Install" to start the upgrade.
